Slipped over the end of any wrapping paper roll up to 2 1/4" in diameter, it holds the roll steady as you pull out the length of paper you need and tuck the edge into a slot in the side of the cutter. As you slide the cutter to the other end of the roll, a shielded blade at the base of the slot neatly slices the paper in a straight line parallel to the roll.
